One More Week!

We're leaving in one week to go see our kids! The Clarks left today for Russia and will be officially adopting their three girls on April 6th. We leave for Russia on April 7th and will arrive in Penza on April 9th to meet Yulia and Gena. WE CAN'T WAIT!!!

We have chosen names for the kids. They will be Elizabeth Yulia Joy Haworth and Samuel Gena Haworth! Elizabeth means "Consecrated to God." Yulia means "young." and Joy means "joy!" Samuel means "God hears." We will let them choose what name they want to go by, so we'll let you know. Oh, by the way, Elizabeth is after Beth, Cyndy's sister.

Anyway, pray for us as we make final preparations for this first visit with the kids. We are very anxious that we don't forget anything. We'll keep you posted.

Blessings,

Glen and Cyndy

Pray!

We just received a new letter from Yulia (and Gena, although Yulia does the writing) that concerns us. Apparently their birth father (the one in prison for murdering their mother) has been calling and threatening them. He has found out about the adoption and has been calling from prison. Yulia says that he is due to be released in September and is saying that he will come and visit them. They are scared.

Please pray protection over Yulia and Gena, and over Michael (the director) and the orphanage. Pray that God will post angels all around to protect and defend them.

We have dispatched an email to Alexandra asking that she contact her legal sources in Russia to ascertain just how much of a risk this man is to the children. Obviously, we are frightened because we are so far away and cannot protect our children! Now, more than ever, we want to speed through the process of adopting. We have our home study materials and are working on them. We want to have the home study shortly after we return from Russia (April 21). Don't forget we are going to Russia April 7th.

I have posted Yulia's letter and Cyndy's response on the website (www.haworthfamily.net). Read them and join us in praying.

Thanks!

New Letter from Nathan

Nathan was so touched by Yulia and Gena's letter to him that he just had to write them back!

We have posted Nathan's new letter on our website, www.haworthfamily.net. Stop by and check it out!

Time is closing for our trip to Russia. We leave in a little more than three weeks (April 7)! Keep us in your prayers and we go through the millions of details associated with this trip. And keep Yulia and Gena in your prayers as well.

Blessings,

Glen and Cyndy

We also sent a letter to them yesterday informing them of the delay in our trip. Pray that God will guard their hearts against severe disappointment. Keep praying for a speedy process! We are so excited about what God is doing for these two precious children!

Trip Postponed (Again!)

We just learned that there was a misunderstanding about the court date for the Clark's adoption. Instead of March 30th, it is really April 6th! So, we are postponing the trip once again, but only for one week. So now we are going to Russia on April 7th returning April 21st.

Obviously we are disappointed about this latest postponement, but at least it is only for one week. We are going to see Yulia and Gena! Afterward, we'll spend some time in Moscow with the Clarks and their new daughters/sisters.

So pray for smooth planning and favor with all of the agents and hotels etc. who will have to process our trip changes! Thankfully, the change fee for the airline tickets will be covered for us and we won't have to get new visas.

Thank you for your continued support and interest. Please keep us and our kids in your prayers!

Blessings,

Glen and Cyndy

Here's a new picture of Gena and Yulia. We have fallen in love with these two beautiful children! We can't wait to meet them in person, and even more so to bring them home to live in America! Posted by Hello
