Grant Denied!

We just received word that the grant we were hoping (and counting on) to get was denied us. And while this is a set-back, it is not the end of the world. Please continue to pray for God's provision for this adoption. We believe God has called us to adopt Jessica and Sam, and so we are trusting that He will provide all that we need to accomplish the adoption.

We leave for Russia a week from today.

Thanks!

Blessings,

Glen and Cyndy

Pray for Provision!

We are a little over a week away from leaving for Russia. Trying to get everying in order so that we can go is demanding all of our attention right now.

We need you to be praying for God's provision. One foundation is considering our grant application today. We need about $5,000 more in order to complete this adoption. That is the exact amount of the grant we are being considered for! So pray. God can provide the needed resources in many different ways, but this seems the most obvious.

So many details to take care of! Pray that we can think straight!

Blessings,

Glen and Cyndy

A Week and A Half to Go!

It is hard to believe that we are just a week and a half away from boarding a plane and flying to Moscow!

Cyndy went shopping today with her sister Beth, getting clothes for all three kids (Nathan does not have winter clothes!). But she got most of the things we need so that our kids will be clothed in Russia! There will be more to buy when we get back home (Ho-Ho-Ho!), but we should be ok for now.

Our flight is December 7th and we return on Christmas Day, December 25th at about 10:30 at night at LAX. You are all invited to come and welcome Sam and Jessica HOME! We'll give you more details as the time draws nearer.

One of the foundations we have applied for a grant will be deciding on Monday. Please pray that we get this grant! Because we had to buy the plane tickets, we are behind with our funds! This grant will enable us to finish everything!

Thanks for your support and prayers. Truly, we are well aware of each and every one of you!

Blessings,

Glen, Cyndy and Nathan

Three Weeks to Lift Off!

Three weeks from today we will be boarding an airplane to fly to Russia! We just arranged for our flights. We'll be in Russia December 7-25, arriving home on Christmas Day night!

We ended up having to purchase the tickets, since all Frequent Flyer seats were taken on the return flight from Europe. As it is, we are flying from LAX to JFK to Moscow, and reversing on the return trip.

Because we were unable to use the Frequent Flyer miles, we had to spend money that we had planned to use for other purposes in the adoption. Please pray that God will provide the additional funds.

It is hard to believe that we are getting so close to going back to Russia and being with Jessica and Sam forever! Thank you all for your love and support.

We will keep you posted!

Blessings,

Glen and Cyndy

Things Getting Exciting

We are one month away from our court date! Actually, tomorrow will be one month, but it seems SO CLOSE! We cannot believe we are this close to going and bringing Jessica and Sam home!

We got some new letters from the kids today, so I'll post them on the website today.

People have been so supportive! Just this morning alone, at church, we received $850 in contributions to our adoption! Amazing. God is truly working through people!

We are working furiously to get everything done for our trip to Russia. You prayers are needed to help us get it all done. So much to do!

We'll keep you posted!

Blessings,

Glen and Cyndy

WE HAVE A COURT DATE!!!!!

Just got a call this morning from Alexandra Goode, our adoption agency director. The Penza court has set December 14th as the date that we will stand before the judge along with Jessica and Sam in order to finalize the adoption!

So we will be leaving for Russia on December 9th. We have to be in Penza by Sunday the 11th. What this means, however, is that we will probably not be home until after Christmas. That is unfortunate because of our new church appointment, but we are too excited right now to even think about that!

So, REJOICE WITH US! The date is set and we are on our way to bring the kids home!!!

In Astounded Joy,

Glen, Cyndy and Nathan
