Back from Texas

We are back from a short visit to Texas to help celebrate Olivia Clark's fifth birthday and to visit with the Clark family (newly expanded)! It was great to see them all again, and we had a wonderful time at the Houston Children's Museum where Olivia's party was held.

While we were in Houston, we called Gorodishche on Jessica's (Yulia's) birthday (May 18th) and said "Hello!" and sang "Happy Birthday." She was touched! It was good to hear hers and Sam's (Gena's) voice again. It has been a month since we left them in Gorodishche. We are all anxious to be with them again and to bring them home.

We are busy getting ready for a yard sale on June 4th, at which we hope to get rid of a lot of junk and raise some money for the adoption at the same time! And we have to start packing for our move to Chino (the week leading up to July 1st). It is a busy time at the Haworth household!

Please keep us in your prayers during this time of transition. We have a lot of work to do related to the move, and a lot of money to raise related to the adoption. Pray that God will provide all for our needs.

We have new letters from the kids, posted on our website (www.haworthfamily.net).

We'll write more later.

Blessings,

Glen and Cyndy

We Have New Letters!

Just received a bunch of letters from the kids. Go to our website (www.haworthfamily.net) and read them!

We are right now in Houston visiting with the Clarks and their three Russian teenagers, observing their trials and victories in adoption. It is truly a learning experience. We are trusting that being better prepared will help to smooth Yulia's and Sam's (Gena's) transition to our family.

Please keep us in your prayers.

We should be receiving our (approved?) home study soon!

Blessings,

Glen and Cyndy

We Are Moving!

It's official, we are moving this year! The bishop is assigning Glen to be pastor of the Chino (California) United Methodist Church starting July 1st.

We've been expecting a move this year, but didn't know where until we got back from our Russia trip. And then we couldn't tell anyone until now. We announced it in church this past Sunday, so now we can tell the world!

How does this affect the adoption? Not much. The home study is completed and in the process of being written. Once we move, the social worker will have to come and visit our new house in Chino and file an adendum report. No big deal.

Anyway, we'll keep you informed about the progress of our move. Excitement! 16 years in one house, and now we have to move! O MY GOD!!!!

Blessings,

Glen and Cyndy
