Busy Busy Busy!

Things have been so busy, packing, cleaning, organizing... that we haven't been blogging lately! Our last Sunday at Tujunga UMC (TUMC) is coming up on June 26th. It will be very hard to leave this congregation, whom we have loved and poured ourselves into for the past sixteen years!

Our move date has been pushed back to July 6th! Glen will be going to Syracuse, NY to perform the wedding ceremony for Andrew Book and Joy Daigle, two wonderful people who have been interns at TUMC for the past two years. When he gets back on the 4th, it will be "rubber meets the road" time!

Keep us in your prayers. In the midst of all of the moving, we are trying to maintain a focus on Sam and Jessica. We've heard rumors about Russia and adoptions that concern us, so keep praying that the Russian government will allow our adoption. We have promised the kids, and planted our family in their hearts. Pray for God's favor.

We received a new letter from Jessica and Sam (its posted on the website www.haworthfamily.net).

Thank you for all your support!

Blessings,

Glen and Cyndy

Boxes, boxes boxes...

Well, we're starting to pack boxes now! The move to Chino is only a couple of weeks away, and we have a whole house to pack yet! PRAY FOR US!!!

Nothing new on the adoption front. There are some new letters on the website that you can read (www.haworthfamily.net). We are still waiting to receive our approved home study. Once that is here, we can start applying for grants.

We are believing that God will provide the necessary finances in order to complete this adoption. After all, it was God who called us to do this! We appreciate all the support that we have received so far. Please pray about this and let us know what God is saying to you. Contributions can be made on our website (address above) or you can mail checks to us (made out to IGAA, for a tax receipt). For now mail them to our Tujunga address (6532 Day Street, Tujunga, CA 91042). But if you mail it after June 26, send it to: 12594 Monte Vista Ave., Chino, CA 91710.

Thanks for your prayers and support. Remember Jessica and Sam in your prayers, as their adjustment to American life will be a big step!

Blessings,

Glen and Cyndy

Yard Sale Success!

Hello Everyone!

We held our yard sale last Saturday (June 4th) and raised about $300 for the adoption! It was a LOT of work, but it filled two purposes: (1) raising money to bring Jessica and Sam home, and (2) getting rid of a lot of stuff so we don't have to move it to Chino! We sold about 3/4 of the stuff, and took the rest down to church for them to sell in the fall Harvest Festival. Hallelujah!

We received word that our home study is completed and approved. As soon as IGAA gets it and approves it, we should be able to apply for some grants for the adoption. We still have a LONG way to go before we have enough money to complete the adoption! Please keep praying that God will provide what we need to finish.

While we were in Texas visiting the Clark family and their three new daughters (adopted from Russia), we were witness to the first throws of adjustment problems related to orphans joining a family. So we have written a letter to Jessica and Sam opening the subject a bit with them to help prepare them for the changes they will experience when they come home. Please pray that God will prepare them, and us, for all of the HUGE changes that are before us. I will post the letter I wrote to them on our website (www.haworthfamily.net) soon.

Things are getting hectic as we prepare to move! We'll keep you posted.

Thanks for all your prayers, thoughts, support and expressions of love. We appreciate ALL of you!

Blessings,

Glen and Cyndy
